A work-related trip relocated me to South-Western Finland. Despite the very strange dialect and rather pessimistic attitude, there are interesting spots for sport in the area.
Probably the best ice skating track in the country can be found on the sea, in front of Naantali old town. Actually, you might be familiar with the place, because the japanese tourists are legally robbed near by, in the Moomin World, where everything is expensive.
The most challenging with the sea ice track is the snow that constantly raining on the track. Another problem is the wind, that is cumulating on the sea and bites hard even if it feels there is no wind at all on the harbour.
But as you can see in the photo, some parts of the track were in magnificient condition. When sun is shining, it just can't get better than this.
